floor during Combatives
training 116th BCT taken ‘out of the typical
mindset’

The Level 1 Combatives Course ended Friday at Bldg. 60 with a tournament
before graduation. The weeklong course gives a Soldier 40 hours of instruction
in the basics of combative training. Soldiers can sign up for the class
through their individual unit’s point of contact for schools.
Armando Flores, Department of the Army Police, attempts to get out of
Sgt. 1st Class Edgar Randall’s front mount. Randall, 145th Support
Battalion, was the overall winner of the tournament.
