Green Policy

The Laven Group, LLC is dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint by conducting business and work in ways that minimize the impact to the environment.

Here are a few of the things we are in the process of implementing as standard practice:

• Energy

- Purchase Energy Star® rated equipment and appliances
- Use low energy lighting (CFLs or dimmers on other lights)
- Use electric lighting only when necessary in favor of natural lighting
- Turn off all non-essential equipment when not in use
- Cut power to appliances when not in use

• Lifestyle

- Use products that don’t exude toxic chemicals into the work space
- Use cleaning products that are biodegradable and not tested on animals
- Properly dispose of toxic materials and products that contain them

• Resources

- Purchase supplies made with recycled content
- Purchase re-usable and recyclable products and supplies
- Discard only things that cannot be re-used, recycled or composted
- Use electronic or digital communications (telephone, email, instant messaging or PDFs) before using paper/print based communications like faxes or printed copies sent through the mail.

• Respect

- Treat our customers, employees, vendors and contractors with the dignity and respect they deserve
- Encourage spending toward socially responsible efforts
- Conserve energy and resources for future generations
- Encourage our employees to engage in green practices both at work and at home
